Hello!

My name is Cleo, and I’m an Illustrator, maker and storyteller currently based in Leicester, England. I create artwork under the creative name Five Mice!

I graduated from Sheffield Hallam University, where I developed my love for children’s illustration. In my final year I wrote and illustrated my first picture book “dog!” which is currently unpublished. This is when I discovered my love for writing, and the year after I made my writing debut when I wrote a few pieces for National Geographic Learning.

Constantly inspired by all things nature, you’ll find that I enjoy making whimsical, animal filled worlds for my characters. My work is distinguished by soft, homely colours with a pop of traditional textures.

I’m incredibly passionate about inclusivity in all forms. As a child that grew up without much representation in the media, I want to make sure that everyone (regardless of age!) is able to access my work, and see themselves in it.
